Pioneering Sustainable Living with Homestar 8 Certification

We’re thrilled to have been involved in the Moroki project in Glen Innes, where the duplex homes have achieved an exceptional Homestar 8 rating! This sustainable project, developed by New Ground Capital for Hapai Housing and built by Mike Greer Commercial, is a testament to innovative design and eco-friendly building practices. Our team contributed by supplying the panels, with James assisting in the installation.
These duplex homes incorporate advanced technologies such as heat recovery systems and structurally insulated panels (SIPs), which enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Not only do they prioritise sustainability, but they also provide long-term benefits for residents, including reduced energy costs, improved indoor air quality, and a healthier living environment.
By earning a Homestar 8 rating, these duplexes go beyond standard requirements, setting an exemplary standard for sustainable housing. Projects like Moroki showcase how thoughtful design and cutting-edge construction can create more eco-conscious, comfortable, and efficient living spaces.
