What is a Smart Kitset?
A Smart Kitset is built using our Smart Panels and includes all exterior walls and roof panels. Floor panels can also be included as an option.
Our Smart Kitsets are a range of 50m2, 70m2 and 100m2 kitset structural envelopes.
These kitsets do NOT include internal framing, external cladding, roofing material, window and door joinery.

What’s included in a Smart Kitset?
We aim to make your build as seamless as possible by supplying all the components required to install your panels.
- 115mm R4.5 Smart Wall Panels (Strandboard | 90mm PUR | Strandboard), including window and door lintels and timber splines
- 165mm R7 Smart Roof Panels (Strandboard | 140mm PUR | Strandboard)
- Bottom, Top and Rake Plates (Bottom Plates only if SIP Floor is included)
- Ridge Beam(s) and Lintels
- Screws and Tapes
- Weathertight building wrap for onsite application to wall panels
- Optional: 165mm R7 Smart Floor Panels (Strandboard | 140mm PUR | Strandboard), including internal timber joists

The Design & Consenting Process
Energy Architecture can arrange a full site-specific design package for building consent purposes , excluding site-specific engineering requirements. Starting from $5,900 + GST

The Smart Kitset panelised designs have been engineered for a wide range of NZ locations (standard design only):
- Zone N5 – up to 350m above MSL
- Zone N4 – up to 200m above MSL
The Building Process
You will require a Licensed Building Practitioner to complete your build. NZSIP’s skilled in-house installation team is available to assist your builder with panel assembly, for an additional cost.
