Richard Houghton has only turned his heater on five times this winter – a huge change from his last home, where you could see your breath on the air in the mornings.
The new geomagnetic huts were designed by Hugh Broughton Architects, WSP, and Steensen Varming and were built in Aotearoa by New Zealand Structural Insulated Panels (NZSIP).
Builder James Clarke was too busy to build his own home, but was shocked at the standard of the one built for him – despite the fact it met New Zealand’s Building Code.
